<description>In my previous post I included a link to a Fine Woodworking magazine article. Unfortunately it is a members only article. Yesterday (10/01/2010), I received a newsletter from This is Carpentry. They had a link to their latest article (see below) which happens to be on photography for woodworkers. And, thankfully it does not require a membership to read. So, I hope you find this article informative and useful.

The only thing I noticed going through the article is the lighting section is very basic, and will not tell you how to properly light your finished product such as a piece of furniture, a small box, a turning, carving or whatever you’ve crafted out of wood. I’m still on the look out for an article that does not require a membership, and covers lighting woodworker’s projects to show them in their best light so to speak. However, this article is quite good and will be of value to those who need a little photographic orientation for the next time you pick up your camera.

<description>Note: The following is an article found on the Fine Woodworking paid subscription site. I&#039;m in the process of looking for free material on this topic as well. As I find it, I&#039;ll post it. Hopefully others will contribute as well.

A Woodworker’s Guide to Photography – July / August 2010 issue of Fine Woodworking Magazine.
